Additional nylon insulation completely covers the electrical connection when mated to help prevent accidental short-circuits with nearby wires and provide durable, chemically-resistant protection. For applications that require easy or frequent maintenance, quick-disconnect terminals join two wires using a male plug and female socket that can be pushed together and pulled apart.
